India's fifth and final Test match against England, scheduled to kick-off on Friday (September 10) in Manchester, is postponed after COVID-19 cases in the visiting camp.

“Following ongoing conversations with the BCCI, the ECB can confirm that the fifth LV= Insurance Test between England and India Men due to start today at Emirates Old Trafford, will be canceled," the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan is upset with Team India's decision to not take the field for the last Test match. He wrote that India has let down England cricket, but Vaughan also added that England had taken a similar step against South Africa.

"India have let English Cricket down !!! But England did let South African Cricket down !!!," Vaughan tweeted after the fifth Test match got called off.

England and Wales Cricket Board had decided to cancel the South Africa tour after the COVID-19 outbreak last year. ECB had said that the tour was called off "to ensure mental and physical health and welfare of players from both teams".
