India's practice session in Manchester on Sept 9 was cancelled | GettyAhead of the fifth and final Test between England and India, the visitors camp got a jolt as one more member of their support staff tested positive for the dreaded COVID-19 virus. This happened as the teams began their training for the last Test in Manchester.

India has already lost the services of head coach Ravi Shastri, bowling coach B Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar and physio Nitin Patel, who all tested positive for the COVID-19 virus ahead of the fourth test match at the Oval.

As per reports of ESPNCricinfo, the member of the support staff tested positive after a fresh round of testing on Wednesday evening; the team had trained as scheduled on Wednesday morning.

This positive COVID test result on Thursday led to the morning training session being canceled and the Indian squad members have been asked to stay back in their hotel rooms till further notice.

The fifth and final Test match begins on September 10 in Old Trafford with India leading the series 2-1.
