Team India was fantastic on the final day of the fourth Test against England at The Oval as the tourists registered yet another 157-run win over the hosts and have taken a 2-1 lead in this ongoing five-match Test series with just one Test match remaining.
While many wrote off Virat Kohli and Co. after a batting collapse that saw India getting bowled out for 191 on a batting-friendly wicket, the bowling unit which is rated very highly by many pundits, kept England's lead to just 99 runs in the first innings, bowling them out for 290.
But in the second innings, thanks to an amazing century by Rohit Sharma (127) and half-centuries from Pujara (61), Thakur (60), and Rishabh Pant (50) along with crucial contributions from Bumrah (24) and Umesh Yadav (25) took visitors to 466 and set a target of 368 runs for the home team.

The Indian bowling unit then went on to rout the England team and bowled them out for 210 on a batting wicket along with ideal batting conditions in London and won an epic Test match by 157 runs.
As fans were delighted with this amazing performance from the team, a lot of dignitaries congratulated the Indian team for this feat. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the wishes as India won a Test match at The Oval for the first time after 1971.
“Great day (again) on the vaccination front and on the cricket pitch. As always, #TeamIndia wins! #SabkoVaccineMuftVaccine,” PM Modi wrote on Twitter.
