India pacer Jasprit Bumrah wreaked havoc on England batsmen in the second session of the fifth day’s play in the ongoing Test match at the Oval.
Chasing 368 in the fourth innings, the hosts were 131/2 at lunch on Day 5 with Haseeb Hameed and Joe Root in the middle. However, Bumrah turned things around in India’s favour in the post lunch session.
He cleaned up Ollie Pope (2) and Jonny Bairstow (0) with two brutal deliveries to leave England reeling at 146/5. Pope’s wicket was Bumrah’s 100th scalp in Test cricket and it came in his 24th appearance in the longest format.

Apart from Bumrah, left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja too turned out to be the nemesis for English batsmen in the second session. He dismissed Hameed on 63 to trigger the collapse before removing Moeen Ali for a duck to reduce the home team to 147/6.
