ENG v IND 2021: Cricket fraternity salutes Jasprit Bumrah for completing 100 wickets in Test cricket

Bumrah produced two brutal deliveries to put the visitors on the brink of victory. The hosts were 131/2 at lunch on the final day while chasing 368 in the fourth innings and the visitors needed someone to provide crucial breakthroughs.

In the 65th over of England’s second innings, Bumrah knocked over Ollie Pope (2) with a jaffa and cleaned up Moeen Ali with a peach of a delivery in the 67th over. As a result, the home team was left tottering at 146/5.

With the dismissal of Pope, Bumrah also completed 100 wickets in the longest format. The milestone came in his 24th Test appearances.

Besides Bumrah, left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja also wreaked havoc on English batsmen in the post lunch session. He got rid of Haseeb Hameed on 63 to trigger the collapse before removing Moeen Ali for a duck to reduce England to 147/6.
