Ollie Robinson claimed five-wicket haul in India's second innings | GettyEngland on Saturday (August 28) completed an innings and 76 runs victory over Team India in the third Test at Headingley to level the five-match series 1-1.

The visitors were 215/2 at stumps on Day 3, trailing the hosts by 139 runs in the second innings with Cheteshwar Pujara (91) and Virat Kohli (45) unbeaten in the middle.

However, the opening session of the fourth day saw India’s batting line-up collapsing miserably. While Pujara failed to add to his overnight tally, skipper Kohli made 55. Both of them were dismissed by Ollie Robinson.

Veteran pacer James Anderson, who ran through India’s top-order in their 78 all-out in the first innings, got rid of vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane on 10 to reduce the tourists to 239/5. Robinson put the final nail in the coffin as he removed India’s last recognized batsman Rishabh Pant on 1.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja played some dazzling strokes before being dismissed by Craig Overton on 30. Moeen Ali and Robinson accounted for Mohammad Shami and Ishant Sharma’s early dismissals whereas Overton sent back Mohammed Siraj to wrap India’s second innings for 278.

For their stunning comeback at Headingley, Joe Root and company garnered rich praise from the cricket fraternity on Twitter.
