Former India batsman Wasim Jaffer roasted ex-England captain Michael Vaughan on Twitter. Vaughan had posted a weather update of Leeds on Twitter before day 4 of the third Test between India and England.
The Test match is currently at an interesting stage and Jaffer doesn't want Vaughan to jinx India's chances to save the match. The Englishman had tweeted that there is no cloud in Leeds which is ideal for batting.
"Not a cloud in the sky in Leeds … lovely day for Batting … #ENGvIND," wrote Vaughan. Jaffer jokingly quoted the tweet with lemon and chilies which are used in India to keep away the ill effects of the evil eye.
Team India are currently 139 runs behind England with eight wickets in hand. Cheteshwar Pujara (91* off 180) and Virat Kohli (45* off 94) were in the middle at the end of day three.
England bowled out India for 78 in the first innings and then added a huge total of 432 runs in reply. The visitors now need to first level the lead of England, 354 runs, and then set a competitive target to stand a chance against Joe Root and co.
