India wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik who is currently enjoying his maiden commentary stint in the UK, recently got pacer Jasprit Bumrah for a candid interview. While talking to Bumrah, the duo talked about the verbal volleys he faced during the second Test match at Lord’s.
During the second Test at the Home of Cricket, England pacer Jimmy Anderson had alleged that Bumrah was not bowling as "quick as he normally does" when the left-hand batsman was at the crease.
The Englishman had to face the infamous 10-ball over from Bumrah which included a barrage of bouncers and a lot of quick yorkers before having a verbal warfare with India skipper Virat Kohli on Day 4 of the Lord’s Test.

While speaking to Karthik, the right-arm quick talked about what riled him up after a verbal exchange with Anderson at the end of India’s second innings on the final day of second Test against England.
“As soon as the game got over and the day got over, some of the words were exchanged and we were really not happy. The exchanges were not pleasant. When I heard what was said, I really got riled up. Because if something comes up...I'll give it 10 times up,” Bumrah told Karthik.
It's not only that his action is unique but also the way he thinks and his approach towards this game. From cricket to his married life, many stories will unfold in this one. ????#ENGvIND pic.twitter.com/LYwSATNP0P

The veteran England pacer in his interaction with BBC Tailenders Podcast had talked about Bumrah’s over where he had to survive a bombardment of short balls.
“He bowled an over, maybe 10, 11, 12 balls (10). He was bowling no-ball after no-ball, bowling short. I think he bowled two on the stumps which I managed to dig out,” the 39-year-old said.
