Apart from visitors’ stellar showing, the second Test between India and England at Lord’s caught everyone’s attention for a heated altercation between Virat Kohli and James Anderson.

During the fourth day’s action, the Indian skipper and veteran England pacer had a verbal duel. The duo exchanged words when Kohli was at the non-striker's end.

In a video doing rounds on social media, Kohli and Anderson had three different exchanges and all of them were caught on the stump mic.

Here’s the war of words recorded between the two legends:

Virat Kohli: “What was that? huh? Swearing at me again, like Jasprit [ Bumrah ] huh?”

James Anderson: “You can swear at me all you want. No one else can.”

Virat Kohli: “You play by your own rules. You are calling me a Fu***** Pr*** for running too? This isn’t your backyard!”

James Anderson: “I think that bowlers can run through the crease too.”

Virat Kohli: “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. Chirp, chirp, chirp. This is what old age makes you do.”

Coming to the match, India registered an emphatic 151-run victory over England in the second Test to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

Chasing 272 in the fourth innings, England had to bat less than two sessions to defend the Lord’s Test but they failed to do so as India’s pace-quartet demolished their batting line-up.

While Mohammed Siraj (4-32) and Jasprit Bumrah (3-33) did the bulk of the damage with the ball, Ishant Sharma (2-13) and Mohammad Shami (1-13) chipped in with three scalps between them.
