Former India batsman Wasim Jaffer reminded the England cricket team to not mess with Team India, especially after August 15. His witty tweet came after India's win at Lord's by 151 runs on Monday (August 16).
The last two days of the second Test were full of drama after a few heated moments between both the teams. On the last day, England were trying to give it back to Jasprit Bumrah who had troubled James Anderson with a barrage of bouncers.
However, Bumrah didn't get intimidated by it and ended up stitching a partnership of 89* runs with Mohammad Shami (56*) for the ninth wicket. He then gave English batters a hard time with the ball and picked up three wickets in the second innings. England were bowled out for 120 runs on the last day.
Indian team, including captain Virat Kohli, was charged up and they weren't holding themselves back in expressing aggression on the field. After the match, KL Rahul said that they were going after English batters for a reason. "If you go after one of our guys all eleven will come right back!", he said.
Jaffer posted the picture of the winning moment and quoted Rahul's words in his tweet. "KL Rahul: "If you go after one of our guys all eleven will come right back!" The wolf is the strength of the pack. The pack is the strength of the wolf. And this pack of wolves did some glorious hunting today. #ENGvIND," the tweet read.
India and England will play the third match of the five-match Test series at Leeds from August 25.
