Cricket fraternity witnessed a controversial incident during the fourth day of the ongoing Lord’s Test between England and India, involving Ollie Robinson, Mark Wood and one more host player.
A video has surfaced on social media which shows England players allegedly trying to alter the condition of the ball with their spike.
The incident was from the 35th over of India’s second innings when Robinson passed the red cherry to fellow pacer Wood in between one of his deliveries.
Instead of taking the ball in his hand, Wood pushed it with his shoes and some other unidentified English player was seen pressing the spike against it.

Former India opener-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra also speculated on Twitter whether it was intentional from the England cricketers.
“Ball tampering, eh? #EngvInd,” Chopra wrote.
On the other hand, veteran England pacer Stuart Broad defended Wood by tweeting: “My comments are- Woody tried to nut meg Burnsy by tapping the ball through his legs (a very common occurrence) & he missed and kicked the ball there by accident. Instead of screenshotting the pic, watch the video- quite plain & easy to see.”
Twitterati were also left shocked by the incident, which could really put the home team in trouble moving forward.
