Cricketers usually prefer to ignore the trolls and unnecessary hate comments on social media. But England's fast bowler Stuart Broad couldn't resist responding to a tweet by a cricket fan.
The Twitter user wrote that the England cricket team usually depends on the weather to perform better. He dropped a reply to Broad's tweet which was posted during the Tea break on the first day of Lord's Test between India and England.
"Clouds low, lights on, evening session, the fresh batter at the crease. This is the time to strike! Could get our rewards this session for containing India Flag of India well in morning & afternoon. Could easily be a 250-6 day if we get it right & India are Very top heavy here with the tail," the cricketer wrote.
To which, the Twitter troll replied, "Again England depending on the weather". Broad gave it back by reminding him of England's series win over India in the past.
"England have won Test series Vs India at home 2011,2014 & 2018 recently. Must have got extremely lucky with the weather for all those days!", the response by Englishman read.
Broad is currently ruled out of the Test series against India after a muscle tear in his right calf, which was revealed in an MRI scan. He played the first Test and picked up one wicket. Now his focus is on the upcoming Ashes series later this year.
