Former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer has once again poked ex-England captain Michael Vaughan on Twitter. India and England are currently playing the second Test at Lord's and Vaughan was expecting the first day to go in the favor of bowlers.
Before the start of the match, Vaughan had tweeted, "Lovely day for bowling at lords … #ENGvIND". But it turned out to be a good day for batsmen as India posted 276/3 in 90 overs at the end of the first day's play.
KL Rahul scored an unbeaten hundred and he was batting on 127* with Ajinkya Rahane on 1* before stumps. India opener Rohit Sharma ended up scoring his highest score in overseas Test matches and got out on 83 runs.
India skipper Virat Kohli scored 42 runs before getting out to Ollie Robinson. Around 5 overs were left in the day's play when Kohli's knock came to an end.
Jaffer, after Day 1, roasted Vaughan with a picture of Chris Gayle in Kings XI Punjab's (now Punjab Kings) kit ringing a bell. The caption on the picture had a 'Smiling face with open mouth and tightly-closed eyes' emoji along with the hashtag #ENGvsIND.
