ENG v IND 2021: "Came here as a player first in 1996," BCCI president Sourav Ganguly recalls his visits to Lord's

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly attended the first day of the Lord's Test between India and England on Thursday (August 12). He recalled his memories of playing for India at Lord's and now coming into the mecca of cricket as an administrator.

Ganguly posted a collage of his pictures on Instagram which included the picture of his hundred, Test match and NatWest Series final win from 2002, and the latest photo as BCCI president. He attended the match along with BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

"Came here as a player first in 1996 ..and then as captain..enjoyed the game at lord's today as an administrator...India was and is in a good position all the time..this game of cricket is majestic," he wrote. 

Ganguly was spotted having a conversation with England cricket great Geoffrey Boycott, while Shah was seated alongside England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Chief Executive Tom Harrison in the stands.

The official Instagram account of Lord's cricket stadium dropped a comment on Ganguly's post. "Great to have you back at Lord’s, Sourav ????," the comment read.
