India's fielding coach R Sridhar has come up with a new fielding drill for the Indian cricketers. The drill included two fielders on both sides of the pitch, a bowler, a batsman, and a wicket-keeper.
Sridhar can be seen batting in the video posted by BCCI on social media, while Prasidh Krishna and Wriddhiman Saha tried to distract the wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant, who had to collect the ball from down the leg side.
"How is that for a drill? Fielding coach @coach_rsridhar keeping the boys on their toes. #TeamIndia #ENGvIND @RishabhPant17 @Wriddhipops @prasidh43 @Hanumavihari," wrote BCCI on Twitter.
Hanuma Vihari was the bowler who tried to bowl mostly on the leg-stump for Pant to practice his takes. Pant is currently preferred over Saha for the wicket-keeping option.
Team India are currently at Lord's for the second Test. The first Test between India and England ended in a draw after the fifth day's play was washed out.
