India's number eleven batsman Mohammed Siraj engaged in a verbal exchange with England fast bowler James Anderson on Day 3 of the first Test at Trent Bridge. Anderson seems to have not liked Siraj's wild bat swings on his deliveries.

During the 84th over, bowled by Anderson, Siraj swung his bat at a short and wide delivery which he completely missed. When the two walked past each other in the over, Siraj looked into Anderson's eyes as the latter said a few words to the tailender.

It might be the frustration of Anderson as India put on a valuable 33-run stand for the last wicket. Siraj remained unbeaten on 7 runs, while Jasprit Bumrah scored 34-ball 28 runs with the help of 3 fours and a six.

India was bowled out on 278 in reply to England's 183 in the first innings. They took a lead of 95 runs which can be crucial in the outcome of the match. India has been on top of England so far in the match despite regular rain interpretations in the game.
