While the right-hand batsman is known for scoring big and quickly in white-ball cricket but in this Test match in Nottingham, the Mumbai-based batsman was seen leaving deliveries and being patient.

Rohit Sharma plays aggressively in white-ball cricket. He applies his methods well, even yesterday, he left the deliveries properly. He was even beaten by pace and swing on a few occasions. One could see that Rohit was fighting with himself. It was written on his face that he wanted to score quicker,” the former left-handed batsman said.

As far as the Test match is concerned, the Indian lower order managed to get some handy runs as the tourists got a substantial 95-run lead over England in the first innings.

But the hosts were up for the task as both English openers Rory Burns (11*) and Dom Sibley (9*) made sure that hosts kept all their 10 wickets intact by ending the day’s play with 25/0 as they trail India by 70 runs.
