India captain Virat Kohli is a fierce competitor and he's always up for any challenge thrown at him. To get so much success one needs to get into the right mindset, apart from the performance. Kohli opened up about his fearless attitude on the field in a recent interview.
Dinesh Karthik, who's currently part of the broadcasting team of SkySports, interacted with the Indian skipper and tried to get into his mind. Kohli said that he doesn't want to give anyone a feeling that he is a feeble opponent.

"When I step onto the field I have to believe I am the best. I am not going to allow anyone to think I'm a pushover on the field. It's not to disrespect anyone, it's belief in my own abilities,” Kohli said on Sky Sports.
"Fine, you have the ball in hand but if you get it wrong you know you are going to for runs. If you get me out and bowl a great spell, hats off to you. But the next time I am going to be here again so make sure you bring your A-game. That's the mindset at this level,” he added.
Kohli understands a player cannot take down the tough opponents with fear inside them. He said if one shows fear on the field, they will be eaten up easily and that's why courage is important for success.
"If you show any vulnerabilities or fears, they are going to eat you up. I have to be as fearless as I can. If I get out, I want to get out on my terms. I might as well make a silly mistake and know this is what I need to correct,” he explained.
The 32-year-old further said his belief has often turned out to be more powerful than the thousands of people who doubt him. His mental strength has helped him crush the barriers in his way to become modern great.
"I don't go out there to prove anyone wrong but I put myself in a position where I want to do special things and win special series. If 50,000 people in a stadium feel like it cannot be done, I will challenge myself to say it can.
"I have seen it a number of times where my conviction in how I see the situation has been far more powerful than the doubts of thousands of people in the same place. In any situation, I believe I can do it," he further said.
