The Test series between India and England is slated to begin from 4 August.

The 26-member squad has seen three players getting injured on the tour.

Opener Shubman Gill was the first one as he suffered a stress fracture to shin injury and was sent back home. Then pacer Avesh Khan and all-rounder Washington Sundar who were part of the warm-up game between the County Select XI and Indians suffered injuries and are likely to be sent back home.

Former India wicket-keeper batsman Deep Dasgupta while talking in his latest video on YouTube said that he feels with no Avesh Khan in the team, it will be a great opportunity to have someone like Deepak Chahar or Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the side.

With Avesh Khan ruled out even though he was a net bowler, it is a good opportunity to send Deepak Chahar or even Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Both are swing bowlers and are in good form and will be useful in English conditions. They are making the white ball swing, so they can definitely swing the red Duke ball in England,Dasgupta said on his YouTube channel 'Deep Point'.

The 44-year-old then addressed the debate about whether to send Prithvi Shaw to England or not as he felt sending the right-hand batsman for England Tests will not be a bad idea at all.

There has been a debate about sending openers in the last few days but I think the kind of form Prithvi Shaw is in, he can be a good choice. Obviously, there is (Abhimanyu) Easwaran, there is Mayank Agarwal and Rohit Sharma, but sending Prithvi will not be a bad idea,” the cricketer-turned-commentator added.

While the five-match Test series between powerhouse India and hosts England is slated to begin from 4 August, Both Deepak Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar along Prithvi Shaw are currently in Sri Lanka for a limited-overs series.
