Former England captain Michael Vaughan believes that the isolations rules for cricket in England need to be revised.
Vaughan’s remark has come after the initial news broke out about Rishabh Pant being tested positive for Covid-19. The left-hander will not be traveling with the Indian team to Durham where the whole squad is set to play a practice match.
Vaughan tweeted that if the rules are not changed and the players keep getting affected, it might have an impact on the Ashes series later this year.
The former opener also mentioned that the current restrictions could also affect players in the upcoming ECB tournament “The Hundred”, which is finally set to begin on July 21 after a year of delay due to Covid.
