As India prepares for the last battle against Australia in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023, skipper Rohit Sharma spoke about various things that helped the team reach the final. On November 19, 2023, the summit clash will take place at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.
India advanced to the final after winning all nine league games and defeating New Zealand in the semi-finals. Australia lost their first two league matches but then won seven straight games to qualify for the World Cup.
In the semi-final, despite getting a tough time from South Africa, Australia made it into the final.
Rohit Sharma was in his usual mood and as the presser was about to start, the Team India manager began to introduce him to the journalists, he playfully scolded the manager saying that everyone here knows who I am, so let's begin now.
Rohit said: "Arre Malum hai sabko yaar. Chalu kar abhi yaar."
Then during the presser, someone’s phone went off which irked Rohit Sharma and he asked the person to shut off his phone in his unique style.
"Kya yaar phone band rakho yaar(Please keep your phone switched off)," he quickly quipped.
