CWC 2023: ICC announces commentators panel for the India v Australia World Cup final

The ICC also announced the match officials for the grand finale.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on November 18 announced the commentary panel for the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 between India and Australia.

The elite commentary panel has several stalwarts and experts of the game who will give their voice to raise the entertainment of the fans during the CWC 2023 final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (November 19).

The ICC said in a statement: “The iconic voice of Ravi Shastri will bring electricity to the much-awaited toss, while the expert analysis of Nasser Hussain and Sanjay Manjrekar will throw light on what the 22 yards in Ahmedabad will have to offer.”

Kass Naidoo, Ravi Shastri, Ricky Ponting, Ian Smith, Sanjay Manjrekar, Aaron Finch, Nasser Hussain, Harsha Bhogle, Dinesh Karthik, Matthew Hayden, Eoin Morgan, Ian Bishop, Shane Watson, Sunil Gavaskar, and Mark Howard will bring world-class coverage for fans across the globe.

The ICC also announced the match officials for the CWC 2023 finale between India and Australia in Ahmedabad. Richard Illingworth and Richard Kettleborough have been named as the on-field umpires, while Joel Wilson will be the third umpire in the title clash.

On the other hand, Chris Gaffaney will be the fourth umpire and match referee, Andy Pycroft, will officiate in the CWC23 Final, where the hosts India would like to emerge victorious to end the drought of the ICC trophies.

If India manages to beat Australian in the final in Ahmedabad, it will be the second time that the Men in Blue will win the World Cup on home soil.
