Opting to bat first, the hosts rode on hundreds from Shreyas Iyer (128*) and KL Rahul (102) and half-centuries from Rohit Sharma (61), Shubman Gill (51) and Virat Kohli (51) to rack up a massive 410/4 on the board.

Roelof van der Merwe was the pick of the bowlers for the Netherlands, returning with the impressive figures of 1 for 53 in his 10 overs.

Defending the total, the Indian bowlers continued their brilliance and bundled out the Netherlands for 250 in 47.5 overs. While some of the Dutch batters got starts, they failed to play a big knock. Teja Nidamanuru was the top scorer with 54 off 39 balls.

For India, the pace duo of Jasprit Bumrah (2-33 in 9 overs) and Mohammed Siraj (2-29 in 6 overs) claimed two wickets whereas the spin twin of Kuldeep Yadav (2-41 in 10 overs) and Ravindra Jadeja (2-49 in 9 overs) returned with a couple of scalps each. India’s star batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma shared the remaining two wickets between them.

Cricket fraternity lauded India’s clinical display as Rohit Sharma’s men finished the league stage without losing a single match.
