India and the Netherlands are clashing in the final league match of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 in Bengaluru on November 12. India won the toss and chose to bat first.
Rohit Sharma (61) and Shubman Gill (51) added 100 runs for the first wicket in 12 overs. Virat Kohli also scored 51 runs before falling to Roelof van der Merwe. But then Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul took over and propelled India over the 300-run mark.
During the 38th over of the innings, a hilarious moment was witnessed in the Indian dressing room as the ICC showed the ‘Iconic Images’ of Rahul Dravid from his stellar run in the 1999 World Cup.
Dravid was the highest run getter with 461 runs in 8 innings. He hit 2 centuries and 3 fifties with a strike rate of 85.52. His two centuries came against Sri Lanka and Kenya in the tournament.
As soon as the montage was over on the big screen, the camera panned towards Dravid, who was sitting in the India dressing room as head coach of the side. The whole stadium and the Indian team applauded for Dravid.
Dravid happily accepted the applause even leaving the commentator Harsha Bhogle bursting with laughter. Even Virat Kohli was seen laughing in the background as he clapped for the head coach.
