Indian cricket team head coach Rahul Dravid is really impressed with Rohit Sharma’s captaincy and his performance with the bat in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
Under Rohit’s captaincy, India is the only unbeaten team in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023, having won all eight matches so far. The senior right-hander is leading the Men in Blue from the front, as he is one of the leading run scorers in the showpiece event.
The right-hander has scored 442 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of 122 at the ongoing CWC 2023. Meanwhile, Dravid said that Rohit is undoubtedly a good leader and is leading the side by example both on and off the field in the tournament.
Rahul Dravid said during a pre-match press conference on the eve of India's CWC 2023 match against the Netherlands: “Rohit has certainly been a leader, without a doubt. I think he has led by example on and off the field. Some of the starts he has given us, the way he has cracked open games for us.”

The head coach continued, “There have been some games where it could have been tricky for us, but the fact that he's been able to get us to those kinds of starts has literally cracked open the game. It's actually has made it look easy for us and certainly made it easier for the guys who followed in that (batting) department.”
Dravid said that Rohit plays an aggressive brand of cricket, and the team follows the same style. He further said that the Indian skipper is a really respectful individual in the dressing room.
He signed off by saying, “We've talked about playing in a particular way. You cannot do that unless your leader buys in and shows by example. It's been terrific to see the way Rohit's done that. I think his captaincy has been fantastic. He's someone who's certainly got the respect of the group and the coaching staff.”
