India’s Virat Kohli scored his first duck in the Cricket World Cup history, in the ongoing ICC CWC 2023 match against England in Lucknow on October 29. England had won the toss and chosen to bowl first.
Both teams came in unchanged into this match. Chris Woakes drew first blood for England, taking the wicket of Shubman Gill for 9 runs and then David Willey picked the big fish of Virat Kohli.
Kohli was out when he miscued Willey's short delivery, and Ben Stokes made no mistake in completing a straightforward catch at mid-off.
England’s fan collective, ‘The Barmy Army’ took to social media to troll Kohli as they posted a photo of a duck with the latter’s face superimposed.
