Pakistan cricketer Iftikhar Ahmed piqued the curiosity of netizens when a video went viral from their recent ICC World Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan, which was played in Chennai on October 23.
The Men in Green suffered a humiliating 8-wicket loss to Afghans. Batting first, Pakistan posted 282/7 in Chepauk with Abdullah Shafique and Babar Azam scoring fifties and Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed making 40 each.
However, their bowlers were not up to the mark and Afghanistan batters made merry against some toothless and uninspired bowling performance. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah made fifties as Afghanistan reached the target with 8 wickets in hand and one over to spare.
