Pakistan team director Mickey Arthur was left fuming by watching Pakistan’s bowling performance in the ongoing World Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan at Chepauk.

Chasing 283 to win, Afghanistan got off to a brilliant start as the duo of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran put on 100+ runs for the opening wicket.

Pakistan’s bowling wasn’t up to the mark as pacers conceded plenty of runs with the new ball. Leg-spinner Usama Mir was introduced into the attack in the 11th over.

In his very first over, Usama bowled a short and wide delivery, which was smashed by Zadran for a boundary.

After watching this loose delivery, Arthur lost his cool and went inside the dressing room. His gesture clearly suggested that he wasn’t happy with the way Pakistani bowlers were executing their plans.

Notably, Pakistan started their World Cup 2023 campaign with back-to-back wins over Netherlands and Sri Lanka. However, Babar Azam’s men lost the plot and went down against India and Australia in the next two games to find themselves out of top four on the points table.
