India and New Zealand are clashing in the 21st match of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. The match is being played in Dharamshala on October 22, 2023. India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Mohammed Siraj gave India an early wicket, getting Devon Conway for a duck and then Mohammad Shami got rid of Will Young off his first ball in his ongoing CWC 2023. At 19/2, young Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell got together and put up 159-run partnership for third wicket.
Ravindra was dismissed for 75 by Mohammad Shami and then Kuldeep Yadav got rid of Kiwi captain Tom Latham for 5 runs. But Mitchell went onto hit a brilliant century to give New Zealand the best platform to launch for a big score.
The partnership between Ravindra and Mitchell had India captain Rohit Sharma in a bind. This led to former captain Virat Kohli approaching Rohit Sharma to help him out in the 32nd over. The two had quite an animated conversation in which Kohli is seen advising something to Rohit, which the skipper debates.
Rohit didn’t seemed to be convinced with what Kohli was suggesting but the two senior players continued for sometime with the former skipper trying to get Rohit to see his point of view.
