Team India will be eager to continue their winning run in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 tournament. India has won its first three matches and is at the top of the points table. They next face Bangladesh at the MCA stadium in Pune on October 19.
India has thus far defeated Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan in the tournament. But they are against a team that has had the upper hand in ODIs in recent times over India. Bangladesh has won three of the last four ODIs they have played against the Men in Blue.
With this information, team COC presents to you the Predicted Team India playing for the Bangladesh match.
The Indian team's batting lineup might not change much. Rohit Sharma will open the innings with Shubman Gill. Gill showed his class against Pakistan in Ahmedabad during his short stay at the crease. Rohit, on the other hand, has been in fabulous touch.
Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul are all in form and eager to take up the Bangladesh challenge. The Tigers didn’t have a good time in their previous matches, despite starting with a win over Afghanistan. Their best batter and best bowler, captain Shakib Al Hasan is also dealing with a quad niggle.
However, the Pune pitch can pose a challenge to India, and Kohli, Shreyas and KL Rahul are too good of players to not get intimidated by such challenges. India will also have Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja to accelerate the scoring rate if needed. These two all-rounders are also handy bowlers, especially on pitches that are a bit slow.
Partnering Jadeja in the bowling department will be Kuldeep Yadav. These two spinners had knitted a web of spin on Pakistan batters and expected them to do the same against Bangladesh. There might also be a chance of R Ashwin coming into play for Shardul Thakur to bolster the spin department.
Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj were amazing against Pakistan and the five days rest would done them wonders, to say the least. There is also an outside chance of India playing Mohammad Shami as well.
This encounter will be an entertaining one as one team will look to get back to winning ways and the other will want to continue on their path of dominance.
COC Predicted Team India playing XI for the Bangladesh match:
Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
