CWC 2023: WATCH – Rohit Sharma unleashes his trademark pull and hook against Shaheen and Rauf in Ahmedabad

The Indian captain put on a show with the bat against Pakistan in Ahmedabad.

Chasing 192 to win, the Indian skipper took the Pakistani bowling attack to the cleaners, smashing 86 off 63 balls to put his team on the brink of victory.

Rohit’s knock was studded with 6 fours and as many sixes. However, the highlight of his brutal innings was two he sixes he hit against Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.

Sharma hooked Shaheen over long leg for a huge six on the first delivery of the 7th over, while he pulled a pacy delivery from Rauf over deep backward square leg during the 15th over.

Pakistani bowlers also bowled some freebies and Rohit Sharma pounced on it. One such delivery was bowled by leg-spinner Shadab Khan and the Indian captain deposited him over deep mid-wicket for a six.

Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Shaheen Afridi in the 22nd over but the former had already done his job by then. The Men in Blue needed only 35 runs with seven wickets in hand when Rohit walked back to the pavilion.
