In a heartwarming moment for the cricket fans, Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq hugged each other in Match 9 of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 between India and Afghanistan at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on Wednesday (October 11).
Kohli and Naveen were involved in a heated altercation during the IPL 2023 season. This was the first time after the incident that the two players were facing each other and Naveen was greeted "Kohli, Kohli" chants when he came out to bat earlier in the day.
However, cameras captured the duo exchanging a hug after the end of the 26th over of India’s innings, much to the delight of the fans.
The IPL franchises of both players also reacted after the wholesome moment went viral on social media.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kohli’s team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) wrote: “Virat ???? Naveen. In the King's realm, grudges find no place”.
On the other hand, Naveen’s team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) tweeted, “Navirat” while sharing the pictures of their hug and handshake.
