The video of Rizwan offering prayers on the field has taken the internet by storm.

Mohammad Rizwan offering Namaz | ScreengrabPakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan was spotted offering Namaz during his team’s opening match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 against Netherlands at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Friday (October 6).

The video of Rizwan offering prayers on the field has taken the internet by storm. The incident took place during the drinks break of Netherlands’ innings.

In the viral clip, Rizwan can be seen offering prayers while his teammates were waiting on the sidelines for drinks during the break.

This is not the first time that Mohammad Rizwan has been seen offering Namaz during a match. He was earlier seen offering prayer on the field during the 2021 T20 World Cup match against India in Dubai.

Coming to the match, Pakistan opened their World Cup campaign with an emphatic 81-run victory over Netherlands.

Invited to bat first, the Men in Green were bundled out for 286 in 49 overs. Rizwan and Saud Shakeel top scored for Pakistan with 68-run each.

In reply, Netherlands’ innings folded for 205 in 41 overs. Haris Rauf starred with the ball for Pakistan, returning with the figures of 3/43 in his 9 overs.
