India captain Rohit Sharma has been on a roll ever since he has taken over the leadership of the Men in Blue side, especially in T20Is, where India has been unbeaten, both at home and away, defeating the likes of Sri Lanka, West Indies, and New Zealand at home and then England and West Indies in their own backyard.
However, India tried different captains when Rohit was rested as Hardik Pandya led the team in three T20Is, two against Ireland and once against West Indies, while Rishabh Pant captained against South Africa at home.
Ahead of the start of India's final Asia Cup Group A match against Hong Kong in Dubai, presenter Jatin Sapru was talking about India's probable XI and giving tips to the ones interested in fantasy gaming.
Sapru was sharing tips for fantasy gaming and highlighting Hardik Pandya's importance in India's XI and saying that he must be the captaincy choice of many fantasy teams. At the exact same moment, the camera panned towards Rohit Sharma who was practicing behind the presenters Sapru, Irfan Pathan, and Sanjay Bangar.
Sapru was quick to spot this and said, "Captain toh ek hi hai" (There's only one captain)” referring to Rohit. Rohit Sharma noticed Sapru’s comment and in his own cool way said: "Main ja raha hu bhai" (I'm going, brother).”
This left Pathan and Bangar in splits and Pathan said: "He hasn't changed at all. He is exactly the same like he was in 2007 and now we are at 2022. He is relaxed, cool as a cucumber.”
