The Indian team is gearing up for their first match in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 where they will clash with arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday, August 28, 2022, in Dubai. India is the two-time defending champions of the Asia Cup.
They had won the T20 format tournament in 2016 under MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma had led the Men in Blue to the title win in 2018 when Asia Cup was played in 50-overs format, also in UAE.
The Indian team has reached Dubai and began their practice at the ICC Academy ground in Dubai. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and others were seen hitting big shots against spinners and pacers alike as they prepare for the tournament which will be a stepping stone for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 which will be played in Australia.
Before the Asia Cup commences on August 27, the Indian team was involved in a fun-filled photo shoot for the event and BCCI shared a video of the behind-the-scenes which showed the Indian cricketers having fun while having their headshots taken.
