Young India pacer Yash Thakur pulled off a brilliant caught and bowled to dismiss Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza for a golden duck in the third and final T20I at Harare Sports Club on Sunday (July 26).
During the fourth over of Zimbabwe’s chase, Thakur bowled a 143kph short of length delivery. Raza jumped to play it to the on-side, but the ball took the leading edge and lobbed to the left of the bowler.
Thakur showcased exceptional reflexes as he quickly moved to his left in the follow-through, jumped and stretched his hand to complete a great catch.
Here’s the video:
Raza’s dismissal left Yash Thakur on a hat-trick, but he couldn’t claim it as Ryan Burl hit the final delivery of the fourth over for a boundary.
On the fourth delivery of that over, Thakur had removed Dion Myers, caught by captain Shreyas Iyer at mid-off.
