The southpaw has decided to call time on his red-ball career after the third Test against Pakistan in Sydney.

The crowd cheered thunderously as he entered the ground with opening partner Usman Khawaja. The Shan Masood-led Pakistan side also showed their respect to Warner by giving him a guard of honour.

Here’s the video:

A day before his farewell Test, David Warner came up with an emotional plea as his backpack, containing the Australia Test cap, went missing.

Taking to Instagram, Warner revealed that he lost his Baggy Green on a flight from Melbourne to Sydney and urged anyone who has it to return it to him.

Coming to the Sydney Test, Australia finished the opening day at 6/0 after bundling out Pakistan for 313 in the first innings. While Warner negotiated the one over Pakistan bowled on Day 1 and remained unbeaten on 6, Khawaja (0*) didn’t get a chance to face a delivery.
