During the final session of the third day’s play, Pakistan’s No. 11 batter Abrar Ahmed and Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Sadeera Samarawickrama were involved in a rather funny moment.

In the 120th over of Pakistan’s first innings, Ramesh Mendis bowled a delivery outside the off-stump and the ball spun sharply. Abrar was beaten by the turn and gloved the ball onto his pads. However, the ball got stuck in between his knee and the flap of the pad.

Sadeera tried to collect the ball but Abrar kept going away from him in a hilarious manner. In the end, Abrar dropped the ball and rushed back to the crease on realising that he could be run out at the striker’s end.

The turn of events left the commentators in splits while the Pakistani players, including captain Babar, could not control their laughter.
