Star India batter Virat Kohli is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve whenever he steps foot onto the cricket field. His opponents are aware of his aggression and competitiveness.
However, Virat is quite a humble person off the field. He never shies away from praising the opposition players.
Ahead of the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia, Kohli lauded the skills of veteran Australia opener David Warner.
In a video posted by ICC, the former Indian captain hailed the southpaw as an "Impact player" for Australia.
"Impact player. When David gets going, he can take the game away from you pretty quickly. He's someone that you probably look to get out pretty quickly otherwise he can hurt you very early and consistently. He seems to have this zone that he gets into where he just starts hitting boundaries and doesn't stop and he doesn't make many mistakes in that space," Kohli stated.
"He has always played impactful innings for Australia across formats and Test cricket as well he's had some amazing innings that he had played for the Australian team and is certainly a very dangerous player and someone that you need to get rid of pretty quickly," he added.
The 2023 edition of ICC World Test Championship final is all set to get underway on June 7 at the Oval in London.
This is the second successive WTC final for India having played it last time only to lose to New Zealand. On the other hand, Australia played some high quality cricket right through this edition to make their maiden final appearance.
