England wicket-keeper Jos Buttler started the second Ashes Test by taking a stunning catch behind the stumps to dismiss Marcus Harris on Day 1. But he couldn't end the day well for himself and his team by dropping the well-set Marnus Labuschagne on 95 runs.

Labuschagne was dropped twice on the opening day and he managed to survive on 95 at stumps. He was first dropped on 21 when Ben Stokes bowled a bouncer and while trying to pull that delivery, the Australia batter ended up gloving it.

Attempting a dive, Buttler couldn't hold on to the catch and gave Labuschagne a lifeline. He once again dropped him off James Anderson's bowling which was an easy regulation catch.

The 27-year-old completed his hundred on Day 2 and got out LBW off Ollie Robinson after scoring 103 runs. Labuschagne became the fifth-fastest cricketer to complete 2000 runs in Test cricket. He took only 34 innings to reach the landmark.

After the end of Day 1, Labuschagne called the catch drop from Buttler 'unbelievable'. “Probably the last stage was interesting and tested my patience, Buttler dropping that was unbelievable, but my job is to capitalize on that,” he said.
