Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli was seen making gestures at the crowd during the recently concluded ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final. He shushed the crowd multiple times as if there was something being said to him by the spectators.
For those who are wondering why Kohli was fired up, the New Zealand pacer Neil Wagner has revealed that the Kiwi fans in the crowd were trying to get under the skin of the Indian captain with a song.
Kohli was fired up during the match after the crowd started singing, 'In your head Kohli, in your head,' to the tune of the famous Cranberries song 'Zombie'. Wagner said the crowd had prepared a song for their opener, Devon Conway.

"Yes, the crowd started singing Zombie... They were singing, 'In your head Kohli, in your head Kohli, Kohli.' So they were trying to get under Kohli's skin a little bit and Kohli kept giving it around, giving them the shush fingers. Then there's a song going to Devon Conway sort of as a way of support, they started singing to him," he revealed during a press conference facilitated by New Zealand Cricket.
Wagner said the team members had fun regarding the same and they sang the song while heading back home after the WTC win. "And in the changing room, and even on the plane, we suddenly started singing... I think Tim Southee had his phone out and Zombie started playing on his phone and everyone sort of laughed and started singing along the song a little bit," he said.
New Zealand won the WTC final by 8 wickets as they chased down a target of 139 runs on the reserve day. Wagner picked up two wickets in the first innings, and one wicket in the second. The Player of the Match was Kyle Jamieson for bagging seven wickets in the match. He dismissed the Indian captain in both innings.
