Former England captain Michael Vaughan once again irked Team India fans with his tweet in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final. He posted a tweet on Day 5 of the match, stating that New Zealand would have won the Test match without rain interruption on a different venue.

Two full days were washed out due to rain so far while the other days lost some overs because of the weather. Vaughan took to Twitter and wrote, "If this #worldtestchampionshipfinal been played up north they wouldn’t have missed a minutes play. #Justsaying #INDvsNZ !! NZ would have been champions by now."

This is not the first time the ex-England cricketer has poked the Indian cricket fans. Even when England had toured India for a Test series, Vaughan posted cheeky tweets criticizing the pitch which had made the fans upset.

If not for rain interventions, fans would have witnessed an exciting contest. New Zealand took a 32-run lead in the first innings as they were bowled out on 249 in reply to India's 217 runs. Virat Kohli and co ended the fifth day with 64/2 on the board and the match will be played on the reserve day.

Here are the reactions of fans to Vaughan's tweet:
