WTC 2021 Final: India's white-ball specialists send their best wishes for Virat Kohli and co

Team India are going to face New Zealand in the ICC World Test Championship final at Southampton.

After two years of dominance in Test cricket, the Indian cricket team is facing New Zealand for the final showdown of the inaugural ICC World Test Championship (WTC). The limited-overs cricketers of Team India sent their best wishes for the boys in Southampton ahead of the WTC final.

India won 12, lost 4, and drawn 1 match in the WTC and they finished on top of the points table. New Zealand finished at second spot with 7 wins and 4 losses in five Test match series. Most importantly, the point percentage of India was 72.2% and New Zealand's 70%, only 0.8% more than Australia at number three spot.

After winning the four-Test series against England at home by a 3-1 margin, India sealed their place in the final. A convincing Test series victory in Australia by 2-1 helped them stay in the race for the WTC final.

Shikhar Dhawan wrote that the whole country is behind Team India and he wished them good luck for the final match. "You’ve got the whole country singing for you ???????? Good luck for the big Test #TeamIndia ???? @BCCI," wrote Dhawan.

Pandya brothers and Shreyas Iyer also posted their support for Virat Kohli and co. "One final Test awaits boys! Bring the cup home ???????????? @BCCI," wrote Hardik, while Krunal tweeted, "Go well #TeamIndia ???????? Just one more hurdle left. You’ve got the entire country backing you ???? @BCCI".

Iyer, who is currently recovering from an injury, hoped for a victory in the final. "Bring the ???? home boys ????????," his tweet read.
