After landing in UK on June 3, Team India started training on the third day for the inaugural ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, with sessions being divided into groups of three and four players.

As the quarantine period is now over, the Virat Kohli-led side resumed full-fledged training from Friday (June 11).

Taking to Twitter, BCCI shared a video of the players training and wrote: "#TeamIndia get into the groove for the #WTC21 Final."

Earlier in the day, the Indian board tweeted: "The countdown is down to 1 week now! Get behind #TeamIndia as they are all set to take on New Zealand in the #WTC21 Final."

India will take on New Zealand in the marquee game in Southampton from June 18-22. The ICC has also allocated June 23 as a reserve day to make up for any lost time during the regular days of the final.

While India’s top cricketers have been out of action ever since the suspension of IPL 2021 last month, Kiwi players are already getting valuable practice for the WTC final, with the two-match Test series underway against England.

The Kane Williamson-led side will enter the bio-bubble for WTC final on June 15.

“The New Zealand team are already in the UK ahead of their bilateral series against England and the team will transition from the ECB bio-secure environment into the World Test Championship Final bubble on 15 June and will be subject to regular testing prior to and post arrival in Southampton,” ICC had said in its official release last week.
