Dinesh Karthik is going to feature in the upcoming ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final commentary panel. India cricket great Sunil Gavaskar shared a picture with Karthik and wished him good luck for his commentary debut.
India and New Zealand will clash in the WTC final, kicking off at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton from June 18. Gavaskar, in his post, mentioned that Karthik made his India debut in 2004 and he was the team consultant back then.

"He made his India Test debut when I was a consultant to the Indian cricket team. Now he will make his commentary debut with the WTC finals. I'm sure he will do well in the box too. Good luck @dk00019 !", wrote Gavaskar in his post.
Karthik responded to the post and thanked Gavaskar for his blessing in the comment section. "Will be glad to be alongside you, thanks for the blessings sir," he commented.
After the WTC final, India will face England in a five-match Test series, starting August 4. They had recently hosted England for a four-match Test series and won it by 3-1.
