Team India players and support staff members for the upcoming England tour are set to go into home isolation for two weeks before departing for UK.
It has been learnt that the BCCI has sought the home addresses for UK-bound contingent and will be conducting their COVID-19 tests at home only.
The Virat Kohli-led side will play the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand in Southampton from June 18-22 followed by a five-match Test series versus England in Nottingham, London, Leeds and Manchester between August 4 and September 14.

Most of the players have received their first dose of COVISHIELD vaccine as directed by the Indian board, while the second dose will be made available to them during the UK tour.
According to a Cricbuzz report, RT-PCR tests of the entire squad will be done at their doorsteps only. Moreover, the family members who will travel with them on tour will also be tested.
The board has also decided to impose two-week strict quarantine for the touring party in Mumbai, which will start around May 18 or 19.
The report further added that the UK-bound contingent and their family members will have to undergo three RT-PCR tests before going into quarantine. Also, COVID tests will be carried out regularly during their 14-day quarantine period. Since the quarantine takes place in Mumbai, the local members of contingent are expected to get an exemption of a week but they will be strictly told to not move out of their houses during this period.
After the postponement of IPL 2021 due to COVID-19 cases inside the bio-bubble, BCCI has taken strict steps to implement the health guidelines. The board has also reportedly told the participants that consider yourself out of England tour if you test COVID-19 positive in Mumbai.
