Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCC) announced India's squad for the World Test Championship (WTC) final and the five-match Test series against England on Friday (May 7). Fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar wasn't picked in the squad and it surprised the Twitterati.

Kumar last played a Test for Team India back in 2018 against South Africa and he was the Player-of-the-Match in it. Fans felt the speedster should have been added to the squad.

BCCI has named Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shai, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Umesh Yadav as the fast bowling options in the squad.

India's squad: Virat Kohli (C), Ajinkya Rahane (VC), Rohit Sharma, Gill, Mayank, Cheteshwar Pujara, H. Vihari, Rishabh (WK), R. Ashwin, R. Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Bumrah, Ishant, Shami, Siraj, Shardul, Umesh.
