Renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle has picked up India's playing XI for the World Test Championship (WTC). Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Test squad for the WTC final against New Zealand and the five-match Test series against England on Friday (May 7).
Bhogle took to Twitter to share the probable playing XI for the WTC final which is scheduled to be played on June 18. Ravindra Jadeja, who was out because of a thumb injury has returned to the side.
The 59-year-old picked Rohit Sharma for the opening spot and he feels his partner between Shubman Gill and Mayank Agarwal should be picked based on their form.
Bhogle named Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah as his first two pacers while putting Mohammed Siraj and Ishant Sharma as the options for the third pacer.
"So, for the WTC final: Rohit, Gill/Mayank (based on form), Pujara, Kohli, Rahane, Pant, Jadeja, Ashwin, Siraj/Ishant, Shami, Bumrah," he wrote on Twitter.
