India will face New Zealand in the summit clash from June 18 to 22.

Team India qualified for WTC final after beating England at home | GettyTeam India on Saturday (March 6) thrashed England by an innings and 25-run in the fourth and final Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

By virtue of this emphatic victory, India didn’t only clinch the Test series 3-1 but also secured their place in the World Test Championship final. They will face New Zealand in the summit clash from June 18 to 22.

According to a TOI report, Virat Kohli and company will fly to England in the first week of June, soon after the culmination of IPL 2021 on May 30, to play the WTC final.

They will reportedly serve a 14-day quarantine after landing in the United Kingdom.

The iconic Lord's Cricket Ground was slated to host the final but as per TOI, the Ageas Bowl in Southampton is the preferred venue for the marquee game considering the five-star lodging facilities within the stadium premises.

The report also suggests that the England Cricket Board (ECB) has blocked the entire hotel between June 1-26 and is working along with the ICC to create the bio-secure bubble.

Although the playing conditions for the final haven't been unveiled yet, the ICC has decided to keep a reserve day for the match keeping in mind England's fickle weather.

The Indian team has reportedly agreed to undergo a two-week quarantine.

"It'll mostly be on the lines of the Australia tour where the initial three or five days will be in strict isolation, after which teams will be allowed to train while in quarantine," TOI quoted as saying those in the know of developments.

After the WTC final, Team India are also scheduled to play five Tests against England.

"BCCI has taken the call not to ask the players to return to India after the WTC final. The idea is to stay there and acclimatise to the conditions before the Tests begin," sources said.

The five-Test series between India and England is slated to be held at Trent Bridge, Lord’s, Headingley, The Oval, and Old Trafford from August 4 to September 14.
