Veteran England pacer James Anderson will address the press conference on Monday (August 10) as speculation grows that he is coming towards the end of his illustrious cricket career, claims a report published in dailymail.co.uk.

Anderson has had a frustrating summer and the chances are that he may struggle to achieve the magical milestone of 600 Test wickets.

At present, the 38-year-old has 590 wickets to his name and faces being rested for the second Test against Pakistan, starting on Thursday (August 13) at the Ageas Bowl.

Anderson was also rested for the second Test against West Indies last month but he did feature in the final Test of the series and the first Test against Pakistan.

He looked a bit frustrated during England's three-wicket victory over Pakistan in Manchester as he picked up only one wicket across the two innings.

The hosts have called up Sussex seamer Ollie Robinson to their bio-secure bubble in Southampton.

According to the report, Robinson will be in contention for a debut against Pakistan in the second Test, possibly at the expense of Anderson.
